Human civilization ignited with the discovery of fire, and the advent of steel propelled us into new realms of development. Today, steel remains as vital as ever, forming the backbone of modern infrastructure and industry.
Recognizing steel's pivotal role, Rising Group embarked on a journey to illuminate Bangladesh's economy. With visionary leadership and a dedicated workforce, our mission is to generate employment opportunities and contribute significantly to national development.
Our Investments
Understanding steel's importance in economic growth, we established a ship recycling and steel re-rolling unit that fulfills approximately 4% of the country's steel demand. Our diversified investments span sectors including CNG refueling, oxygen separation, textiles, infrastructure demolition, computerized weighing scales, transportation services, foreign air GSA, and trading & indenting.
Ship Recycling Unit
Located in Shitalpur, Sonaichori of Sitakund, Chittagong, near the Sandip Channel coastal area, our ship recycling unit supplies raw materials to various industries, including our own Rising Steel Limited and the upcoming Rising Advance Steel Limited. With a workforce of 500, this unit produces around 220,000 metric tons of scrap annually.
We prioritize safety and environmental responsibility:
Environmental Management: Promptly relocating hazardous materials to secure locations and maintaining cleanliness of the sea and beach through continuous patrolling.
Worker Welfare: Providing health and life insurance to all workers.
Safety Measures: Utilizing magnetic cranes for scrap loading and enforcing the use of helmets, boots, and other necessary safety gear.
Re-Rolling Unit
Established in 2002 at Barawlia, Sitakund, Chittagong, Rising Steel Limited addresses the high demand for steel products. With a team of 300 staff and state-of-the-art machinery, we produce 30,000 MT of MS rods annually. Additionally, we manufacture nails, screws, wires, J-hooks, and more, with a production capacity of 15,000 MT per year.
CNG Refueling UnitsContributing to environmental conservation and foreign currency savings, Rising Group operates multiple CNG refueling stations:
Sonali CNG Ltd.: Located in Fouzdarhat, Chittagong, with a capacity of 700 m³ per hour, commissioned in early 2007.
Patenga Refueling: Situated in Patenga, Chittagong, also with a capacity of 700 m³ per hour, commissioned in early 2007.
Rising CNG Refueling: Based in Barawlia, Sitakund, Chittagong, with a capacity of 600 m³ per hour, commissioned in 2008.
Chaloman Ltd.: Located in Thakurdighi, Mirershorai, Chittagong, with a capacity of 707 m³ per hour.
Our commitment is to provide ultramodern, environmentally friendly CNG refueling services with uninterrupted customer support.
Infrastructure Demolition Unit
Rising Group has demonstrated expertise in demolishing prominent structures, including the country's largest Adamjee Jute Mills and the government-owned Chittagong Steel Mills Ltd. With investments exceeding Tk 100 crore, we have set a benchmark in large-scale demolition projects.
Transportation Services
To enhance public transport and customer service, we established 7B Associates, operating 22 buses and trucks. Our buses serve routes within Chittagong City, while trucks facilitate the delivery of raw and finished goods. We plan to expand our transport services to various inter-district routes.
Computerized Weighing Scale
Our computerized scaling unit, certified by the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), offers accurate weighing services for public carrier vehicles arriving at Chittagong Port, as well as our internal transport vehicles.
Foreign Air GSA
Flight Link (BD) Ltd., a subsidiary of Rising Group, serves as a General Sales Agent (GSA) for Bahrain Air Lines, enhancing our presence in the aviation sector.
As we progress, our goals remain steadfast: to create employment opportunities, enhance customer service, and contribute to the overall economy. Together, we aspire to build a prosperous and industrious Bangladesh.
